Homesick

My heart pounds as I think of this.
It leaps within me.
Job 37:1 NLT

Today, very early this morning, we had a death in our family. In honor of his short time here on earth, and his first day in Heaven, today’s Messy Worship is going to be MIA: MESSY in Action. I will be hugging with abandon, crying whenever the urge falls on me, and keeping a place of quiet joy in my heart because I know God has a plan.

Dear Lord, thank you for giving us life here on earth and an life eternal with you in heaven. Help us to use these challenging times of mourning to remind us that this is not our home. Use us to expand your kingdom here on earth with generous, ceaseless acts of loving kindness. In your Son’s perfect name we pray, Amen.

You are so brave to share your life’s messy moments with us in such an authentic way. I admire how you honor yourself and God by being honest and open. We are very sorry for your loss and will keep you and your family in our prayers. This weeks messy worship is so very raw and touching. God Bless You and Yours.
